Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab Chief Organizer Aliya Hamza has removed Shayan Bashir from his position as head of the party’s Punjab Media Cell for violating party policy, Express News reported on Sunday. An official notification issued by Hamza stated that Bashir had made irresponsible statements which caused irreparable damage to the party’s reputation and objectives. The notification further said that, under the directive of the chief organizer Punjab, Bashir has been relieved of his duties as head of the PTI Punjab Media Cell in light of these statements. All PTI departments and office-bearers have been instructed to comply with the notification accordingly.
