The Pakistan Railways has notified an inquiry committee to probe into the collapse of a passenger bridge at Khanewal Station. The committee comprises Railways Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Inspector General of Police (IG) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Lahore. The committee is tasked to fix responsibility for the incident and present its recommendations. It has to summit its report to the ministry in 10 days. Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said the inquiry will not be an eyewash but those responsible for the incident will be taken to task.
