Islamabad Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka has annulled a trial court's decision to appoint state counsel in a vandalism case filed against PTI workers. While announcing the reserved verdict on the PTI's appeal, the court accepted the appeal in FIR No 977 of Ramna Police Station and declared the trial court's decision to appoint state counsel null and void. The case was registered against PTI workers in connection with a party protest on November 26, 2024. At an earlier hearing, the trial court of Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shehzad Gondal had appointed state counsel for the accused.
