Senate unanimously condemns mob lynching incidents in Sargodha, Swat

In a session on Monday, the Senate unanimously approved a resolution unequivocally condemning the mob lynching incidents that occurred in Sargodha and Swat. The resolution demanded that both the federal and provincial governments ensure public safety for all, including vulnerable communities and minorities. The right to life is the most fundamental right as guaranteed by the Constitution of Pakistan and must remain inviolable. "The House, therefore, urges the Federal and Provincial Governments to ensure the safety and security of all persons living in Pakistan, including religious minorities and vulnerable communities. "The House also demands that the Provincial Governments of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab take all measures to ensure that the persons involved in these heinous crimes are identified, investigated, and prosecuted without delay.
