A man was killed and three others were injured over a dispute that erupted over seating arrangement at a wedding ceremony. The incident took place during the wedding celebration of Ahsan, near Amin Shah Basti, within the jurisdiction of Ghulam Mohammadabad police station. Ehsaan, along with his brother Usman, had attended the event. An altercation ensued between them and 46-year-old Ejaz, also known as Buta, a resident of Ghousiaabad Street 1, regarding seating arrangements outside the venue. Ejaz alias Buta lost his life on the spot due to a gunshot, while Ehsan, his father Ramzan, and a local resident named Bashir Ahmad sustained injuries. The injured were transported to the hospital for medical attention. Upon receiving the information, SHO Ghulam Mohammadabad Asim Rashid Mahes, accompanied by ASI Adeel Mustafa, arrived at the scene. The police took possession of the deceased's body and transferred it to the hospital for post-mortem examination. Published in The Express Tribune, May 20th, 2023.
