Unidentified suspects electrocuted a differently-abled 14-year-old boy to death. Police handed over the body to his family and registered a case on the statement of the deceased’s mother. The complainant stated that 17 years ago, she was married to Abdullah, a resident of Gujrat district and had a 14-year-old son Umar Abdullah. She remarried after her first husband passed away from a heart attack four years ago. The victim Umar Abdullah was reportedly paralysed on the right side of his body and was unable to speak. On the day of the incident, the victim’s mother locked the door and left for her aunt Noor Hassan’s house after feeding him. When she returned home, she found the boy lying dead, his wrists tied by wires. According to the mother, he was killed for unknown reasons. Saddar police took the victim’s body into custody and later handed it over to his heirs after legal formalities. Published in The Express Tribune, July 24th, 2022.
