An Afghan national who arrived in Pakistan two days ago was shot dead in Fauji Colony, Pirwadhai in Rawalpindi on Sunday. After arriving from Afghanistan, the victim, identified as Mukhtiar Khan, along with his wife went to meet his sister-in-law and her husband, Fida, at their house. Fida's brother Bakhtiar, a resident of Dhoke Hasso, shot and killed Mukhtiar during an altercation and escaped the scene. As soon as the information was received, Rescue 1122 and police officials reached the spot. After collecting evidence through a forensic team, the body of the deceased was shifted to the hospital for medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, Pirwadhai SHO Owais Akram said that evidence had been collected related to the incident. According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect killed Mukhtiar over a feud. However, further investigation is under way. Police sources told The Express Tribune that the suspect, Bakhtiar, had a dispute with a man named Rahimullah, who lives in Afghanistan. The suspect came to Mukhtar on his arrival from Afghanistan and asked him why he had not brought Rahimullah with him. After that, a quarrel broke out between the two and during the quarrel, Bakhtiar shot Mukhtiar and fled.
