The Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected the post-arrest bail applications of a person accused of sending people out of the country through illegal means. The suspect was arrested after the 2023 Greece boat tragedy in which dozens of Pakistani immigrants lost their lives. On Tuesday, LHC Chief Justice Aalia Neelum took up the bail application of the accused Yasir Warraich whom the FIA booked under two separate charges. "This incident brought disgrace to the country worldwide," the chief justice remarked. She later rejected the accused's bail applications in both cases.
