The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued a detailed written judgment on a petition seeking the return of funds deposited as surety by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. A three-member full bench headed by Chief Justice Aalia Neelum released the eight-page verdict, directing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file a reference before the accountability court within one week for formal closure of the case. The court further ordered that the accountability court in Lahore shall decide the reference within one month.
