The National Assembly was informed during the Question Hour on Thursday that the relevant authorities have blocked 6.5 million blasphemous and obscene posts within a single year. The question was raised by PPP lawmaker Syed Hussain Tariq. He said that despite blocking of millions of websites through the web monitoring system, online fraud websites remain active. He said that parliamentarians were still receiving messages through such fraudulent platforms and demanded to know what actions have been taken against them.
