The Rawalpindi bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) and an anti-terrorism court on Saturday approved bail for 146 arrested workers of the banned TLP, who had been in custody following the Murree incident. The arrested activists were detained from the jurisdictions of nine police stations after the Murree tragedy and had been held in Adiala Jail, Attock Jail and Jhelum Jail since their arrests. The courts directed that each worker submit Rs100,000 in surety bonds for their release. Following the court orders, the process of releasing the workers has begun.
