Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Thursday announced that the construction of a major expressway linking Karachi to Quetta and Chaman, being financed through a special tax on petroleum products has formally started. Chairing a meeting at the NHA, the minister reviewed the pace of ongoing projects in Balochistan, including M-8, which is crucial to enhancing connectivity with Gwadar Port. During the meeting, the minister was also briefed on security matters and other aspects related to the NHA's construction activities in Balochistan.
