The National Assembly was informed on Friday that the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M-6) project is progressing through multiple financing and partnership arrangements, with different sections expected to be completed between 2028 and 2029 Responding to questions during the Question Hour, parliamentary secretary for communications said, "It is anticipated that various sections of the project will be completed by 20282029." He said the project was discussed in the Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on Communications held on September 3, 2024, and later reviewed in the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting in Beijing on September 26, 2025. The secretary said Pakistan had invited Chinese enterprises to take part in the bidding process for the M-6 and two additional sections planned under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. He informed the House that the National Highway Authority (NHA) had initially signed a PPP agreement for the M-6 in December 2022, with completion originally targeted for December 2025, including six months for financial closure.
