Recent heavy rains have damaged a portion of the historic Samadhi of Sardar Mahan Singh, located in Sheranwala Bagh, Gujranwala. Upon receiving reports of the incident, the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) promptly initiated restoration measures. Following the preparation of an initial assessment report, repair and restoration work has already commenced to prevent further damage to the heritage site. The ETPB secretary formally recommended to the district administration that the MC Girls School adjacent to the Samadhi be relocated to another building to ensure the safety of students and staff from any potential risks. Meanwhile, the Gujranwala Administrator along with the ETPB's technical team will remain on site to supervise all precautionary and restoration efforts. The Samadhi of Sardar Mahan Singh is regarded as a valuable part of the subcontinent's history and Sikh heritage.
