The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday summoned the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman to appear in person on Sept 15 along with the complete case record in a contempt of court matter. A two-member bench headed by chief justice was hearing the petition filed by Advocate Ahsan Abid. The petitioner argued that Khusro Bakhtiar and Hashim Jawan Bakht had amassed illegal assets, and despite filing a request with NAB for an inquiry, the bureau failed to act. He contended that NAB had not disposed of the complaint despite clear court directions, amounting to contempt of court.
