Imran Khan chose prison over life of comfort abroad, says son Kasim

Kasim Khan, son of former prime minister Imran Khan, has said that his father had chosen to remain in a "dark prison cell" rather than live a life of comfort abroad. In a post shared on X, Kasim reflected on the incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder's political journey and personal sacrifices. "Our father lived in Pakistan — away from us — for most of our lives. Not because he had to, but because he chose to stand up against a corrupt regime," he wrote. "He gave his country everything: hospitals, universities, and a movement for justice," he said. He stated Imran Khan was offered a chance to live out his days peacefully in Englad, spending time with family. "He's been offered the chance to spend the rest of his days in comfort — going on walks or playing cricket with us in England. Instead, he chooses to remain locked away in a dark prison cell," Kasim said. He added his father’s ongoing sacrifice is for Pakistan and that "his strength comes from its people."
