The Power Division has moved the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to enforce a uniform tariff for electricity consumers across the country. NEPRA will hold a hearing on July 1 on the petition. The federal government has filed an application under rules 1998 section 17. It was submitted in the petition that subsidy and inter-Discos rate rationalization be included in the proposed tariff. The initiative is taken to fix uniform rates across the country.
