A man drowned in a pond and a body was recovered from a nullah and six people were injured after a house roof collapsed in Rawalpindi on Monday. Two of the injured are said to be in critical condition and were shifted to the hospital. According to the police, the drowning incident took place in Dhoke Rajgan, Sagri, where a 45-year-old man, Irfan, drowned in a pond. Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the scene and pulled him out, but due to his critical condition, he was given first aid on the way to the hospital. However, he died at the hospital during treatment. In another incident, a young man's body was recovered from a nullah near a marquee in a private housing society within the limits of Rawat police station. The rescue team handed over the body to the police, who collected evidence before shifting it to the hospital for postmortem. Later in the day, in New Sarafa Bazaar near Lal Haveli, the roof of a residential building collapsed, injuring six people, including three women.
