Minister for Health Services Mustafa Kamal has called for a more integrated strategy to make Pakistan a polio-free country. During a visit to Emergency Operation Center for Polio in Karachi on Sunday, the minister said complete eradication of polio virus is a national priority and the federal government will provide all possible support to provinces. He also appreciated health workers and district administration for their role in the national polio eradication campaign. Kamal expressed concern over the growing number of poliovirus cases in Sindh, directing authorities to submit a detailed report on families refusing vaccinations, the health ministry said.
