PTI founder Imran Khan has challenged the notification of transfer of judges in the Supreme Court. A petition against the transfer of judges in the IHC was filed under Article 184 (3) of the Constitution. The petition argued that the notification of transfer of judges in IHC is illegal and unconstitutional; therefore, the notification be declared as void. It also prayed the court to pass an order, directing to ensure the independence of judiciary amid transfer of judges. The petition requested the court to give an order for the implementation of set principles outlined by the court in Al-Jihad Trust case.
