The Pakistan Tax Bar (PTB) has shown reservations on FBR's legal matters, claiming the revenue collection authority is filing unnecessary tax cases. In a letter written to Prime Minister Shehzab Sharif, the PTB said the revenue collection authority is filing unnecessary and weak cases, which is tantamount to discourage the tax payers. The tax cases are pending in courts and other platforms. The PTB demanded that the government set up steering committee to review the tax cases. With the establishment of steering committee, the tax cases will go down by 50 percent, it added.
