In the aftermath of the Bagan incident, while holding the local community responsible for violating the Kurram Peace Agreement, the provincial government has decided to place bounties on the heads of those responsible, vowing to show no leniency. A statement issued from the Chief Minister's House in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa revealed that a high-level emergency meeting was convened late at night under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, and other senior officials. The statement noted that the situation following the Bagan incident, which involved firing at the Deputy Commissioner of Kurram and security personnel, was thoroughly reviewed. Authorities took serious notice of the attack and the breach of the peace agreement by local residents. A decision was made during the meeting that the local community, having entered into a peace agreement, is responsible for the violation as it was resolved that those involved in the firing incident should be immediately apprehended and charged with an FIR. Furthermore, provincial officials decided to set bounties on the heads of the terrorists involved in the attack, vowing to eliminate them without mercy and no leniency would be shown to the terrorists or their supporters. Earlier, Unknown assailants opened fire on official vehicles in Lower Kurram, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, injuring Kurram district's Deputy Commissioner Javed Allah Mehsud. The attack occurred in the Baggan area, also wounding a police officer. Mehsud was promptly transported to Lower Ali Zai hospital, where he was declared stable. Local authorities have confirmed arrangements to airlift him to Peshawar for advanced medical treatment. Investigations are ongoing as officials work to identify the attackers behind the incident.
