Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Iranian Armed Forces, visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) and met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, the military’s media wing said on Monday. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the prevailing regional security environment and explored avenues for bilateral defence cooperation, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Upon arrival, Major General Bagheri laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, paying tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs. He was accorded a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army. The visit underscores the continued efforts by both nations to strengthen regional security ties and enhance bilateral military collaboration.
