The apex court has issued the cause list for its seven-member Constitutional Bench (CB) which will resume hearing appeals against the Supreme Court order in the military courts case on January 7. The CB led by Justice Aminuddin Khan comprises Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Musarrat Hilali, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan. PTI's Sher Afzal Marwat's petition regarding electoral rigging has also been scheduled for hearing on January 7. The same bench will also hear the enforced disappearances case on January 8. The CB will hear PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz's review petition on January 9. It is also going to take up the review case of the Punjab Assembly's former deputy speaker 's ruling. A petition against the discretionary powers of high court chief justices has also been scheduled for hearing on January 10. The CB will also hear a petition against the ban on student unions on January 10. The constitutional petition regarding alleged rigging in February 8 general elections, filed by PTI founder Imran Khan, has been scheduled for hearing in the coming week.
