The federal government has issued a notification for a jail trial in the new Toshakhana reference case, Express News reported. The notification was issued under Section 16-B of the NAB Ordinance 1999. Lawyers for the founder of PTI and former first lady have been informed about the jail trial notification. Yesterday, former premier Imran Khan, and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) hours after being acquitted in the Iddat case as they allegedly obtained gifts from the gift repository at low prices and sold them at higher rates. Read Imran acquitted in last case but won't walk free According to the notification, if deemed necessary by the NAB court, the trial of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi can be conducted in jail due to concerns over law and order.
