During a wedding ceremony in Sialkot on Saturday, approximately Rs10 million in local and foreign currencies and mobile phones were showered in celebration, leading the local police to file a case against the groom and wedding attendees. According to authorities at the Saddar police station, the groom was adorned with a garland consisting of foreign currency, Express News reported. When the wedding party arrived at the marriage hall, relatives and friends in attendance threw millions of rupees as a form of celebration, causing a two-hour traffic jam and inconveniencing the surrounding residents. Authorities conducted raids to arrest the accused but were not successful in arresting anyone.
