A young man died of suspected food poisoning in North Karachi, Sector 7-D/1 on Thursday. The deceased, identified as 24-year-old Hamza, was found dead in the flat. Imam Bakhsh Lashari, SHO Sir Syed police station, said that initial reports from the family members said that they had all eaten a meal prepared at home during Sehri (pre-dawn meal), after which they retired for the night. However, Hamza's health deteriorated rapidly, ultimately resulting in his death. SHO Lashari confirmed that the cause of the young man's demise was determined to be food poisoning following a post-mortem examination. Police handed over the deceased's body to his bereaved family members.
