Three people were killed, and 17 others injured on Tuesday when a bus plunged into a lake in Bahawalpur district, according to rescue officials. They said that the accident took place early morning in Nowshera Jadeed area of the district when a passenger bus overturned while taking a U-turn and fell into a dry lake, resulting in the death of three passengers on the spot. The deceased included two males and a female, according to the rescue officials. The ill-fated bus was reportedly travelling from Islamabad to Karachi.
