A high-level delegation of the British Ministry of Health will arrive on a three-day visit in the federal capital on Monday (today). According to sources, the British delegation will be led by the British Health Security Agency chief executive officer. The British delegation will meet Caretaker Health Minister Dr Nadeem Jan. In the meeting, promotion of bilateral cooperation in the health sector as well as issues of mutual interest will be considered. The delegation will also visit Punjab for a day, the sources said. The British Health Security Agency had provided full support to Pakistan during the floods, the sources added. The British Health Security Agency also cooperated with Pakistan in the preparation of the IDSR – an integrated system of communicable and non-communicable disease surveillance. The British Health Security Agency has long been providing support to the National Institute of Health. The Ministry of Health is expected to sign Memoranda of Understanding during the visit of the British delegation.
