Officials of the Punjab Wildlife Department have been warned of action as per law over a video showing the carcass of animals in a park. The video of the Rahim Yar Khan Wildlife Park had been broadcast on the media. The provincial ministry concerned has directed the South Punjab wildlife director general submit a detailed inquiry report on the incident by August 16. According to Caretaker Minister Bilal Afzal, the inquiry committee included independent representatives of the University of Animal Sciences and other institutions. He said the caretaker provincial cabinet would soon approve a plan bring the wildlife parks and zoos in Punjab the international standard. "A team of wildlife experts has started the inspection of all the zoos and wildlife parks in Punjab, and will submit a report on the facilities available there,” he added.
