The Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) celebrated the outstanding publications, projects and patents accomplished by over 100 faculty members in a Research Productivity Awards ceremony covering 2021 and 2022. Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr Bushra Mirza acknowledged that the hard work and commitment of the faculty had significantly contributed to the university’s rise in national and international rankings. LCWU Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC) Director Dr Aqsa Shabbir highlighted the achievements of the faculty members from various departments who had secured projects from esteemed organisations such as the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, British Council, US Mission to Pakistan, Pakistan Engineering Council, Pakistan Science Foundation and the industrial sector. She said women scientists were spearheading applied research endeavours aimed at expanding the export base and addressing the critical challenges faced by Pakistan.
