Badami Bagh Police arrested a woman and her son for allegedly murdering their son-in-law/brother-in-law over suspicions of the victim’s trying to lure his sister-in-law. The victim, Muhammad Faisal, a father of two, had been living with his in-laws in Gujjarpura. On the fateful day, the victim’s mother-in-law, Nazia, with the help from her son, Shehroz, allegedly suffocated Faisal to death with a pillow while he had been asleep. Later, they allegedly put his body in a rickshaw and dumped it in a deserted corner of Badami Bagh. When the body was recovered, police launched their investigations. With the help of the CCTV cameras, they traced the rickshaw that had been used to take the body to Badami Bagh. Following the lead, they identified the victim and the suspects. The suspect, Nazia, in her statement before the police, allegedly said that the deceased had wanted to have an affair with her younger daughter. Published in The Express Tribune, May 16th, 2023.
