The government has decided to convene a meeting of the high-powered selection board during the week for the promotion of bureaucrats to Grade 22. Instructions have been issued to form panels containing the names of qualified officers against the number of vacancies in all cadres. February 28 has been fixed as the cut-off date for counting the posts. According to details, a panel of 54 officers for 10 posts of Pakistan Administrative Service, while another panel of 27 officers for two posts of Police Service of Pakistan and one panel of 19 officers for one post of Secretariat Group have been formed. Similarly, a panel of 13 officers for five posts of Foreign Service of Pakistan, a panel of 15 officers for two posts of Pakistan Customs Service, and a panel of five officers for one post of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service have been formed. The Inland Revenue Service has also constituted a panel of 26 officers for one post while a vacancy panel was formed for one vacancy of Information Group.
