Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) South Punjab Maqsoodul Hasan chaired a high-level meeting at the RPO office on Friday to review steps taken to maintain law and order in the Katcha area and future strategies to deal with criminal elements. RPO Capt (retd) Sajjad Hasan Khan warmly welcomed the Additional IGP South upon his arrival, while RPO Bahawalpur Rai Babar Saeed, DPO Rahim Yar Khan Rizwan Umar Gondal, circle officers, and SHOs posted in Katcha area participated in the meeting. Officials briefed the AIG about the Katcha area, the overall crime situation, the gangs operating in Katcha and ongoing police action against them and others. The AIG expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of police in Katcha area and issued orders to deal with violators of the law by utilising all available resources. He also directed officials to mutually exchange information to suppress criminal elements and to accelerate ongoing operations against Katcha gangs, assuring that all required resources would be provided to police in the area. In return, all officers made a commitment to further promote mutual cooperation between DG Khan and Bahawalpur police against gangs in Katcha to maintain law and order.
