The number of homeless people dying of exposure has increased amid the ongoing winter. On Friday, at least three deaths of unidentified people were reported in different parts of the city. In Shadman, two people including a woman died of exposure. The unidentified 40-year-old woman was spotted lying unconscious at the roadside and was admitted to hospital. She died on Friday and her body was moved to a morgue for an autopsy, while police were searching for her family. In a similar incident, a 60-year-old man was also admitted to hospital but he also passed away. In the third incident, a 60-year-old woman was found lying dead in Kacha Fruit Mandi.
