In a progress in the investigation into the assassination attempt on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, the Punjab police recovered the pistol used in the shooting and booked the arrested accused, Naveed, in another case of possessing illegal weapons. According to sources, the weapon was recovered from near the crime scene on the pointation of the accused. The sources said that the pistol was unlicensed and the accused has hid it in the bushes in a Haveli near the crime scene, after shooting at Imran’s container on November 3.
