he Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday unearthed fake social media accounts. Through a statement, the poll supervisory body warned public about fake accounts created in the name of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja on social media that are being used to disseminate misinformation. The statement added that the CEC “does not have any social media account nor does he use Twitter or Facebook”. Moreover, email IDs of important personalities and the commission have been hacked and false propaganda is being made through them. “The individuals include Gen Hamid and Razia Sultana,” it added.
