Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Dr Faisal Azeem said that Rs35 million would be spent on the installation of streetlights in FDA City. During a meeting on Tuesday, he directed FDA officers to ensure timely completion of development projects in the housing scheme so that residents could be provided all necessary facilities. He added that efforts have been accelerated to provide electricity, streetlights, a comprehensive security system and cleanliness. Streetlights would be installed on an 85-foot double road, in addition to replacing the old lights in the city’s main boulevard area. FDA officials were also directed to call tenders and complete the streetlights project within three months by ensuring fair and transparent use of funds.
