Seven terrorists were killed in two separate intelligence based operations (IBOs) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province’s Bannu and North Waziristan districts on Sunday, the military said. The military's military wing further stated that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists. On Wednesday, the military initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists as they fired at the check-post located in the district. During the intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Hamid Ali, 28, resident of Sargodha having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom. Lauding the sacrifices, military said it was "determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism". Nearly two weeks ago, a soldier was martyred when an army convoy was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) in the neighbourhood of Makeen, South Waziristan district.
