The Punjab Public Health Engineering Department has approved the Dhar Jawa mini dam project in Muree. The Dhar Jawa Dam aims to supply water to every household in Murree tehsil and help boost tourism in the area. The dam is estimated to cost over Rs2.71 billion. The dam will be built in Union Council (UC) Ghora Gali where vast forest land is available. The provincial government will make the area a tourist spot and build a park along the dam. The project will also have a water treatment plant and a power plant. Punjab Public Health Engineering Department also approved three water supply projects in three hilly tehsils of the Rawalpindi district. The three projects are estimated to cost Rs914.119 million.
