Despite being a holiday, on the orders of IG prisons, relatives have been allowed to deliver food items and other gits to 6,500 inmates of Adiala jail on the first day of Eidul Fitr. Citizens and families will not be able to meet prisoners they will receive sweet dishes and food items from their homes. The prison administration will distribute the food brought by the families among the inmates from 9 am to 1 pm today. The prison administration has made special arrangements for this purpose The jail staff has also been called on emergency basis and after a thorough search, the food will be delivered to the prisoners' barracks. Due to this facility, thousands of citizens will reach Adiala jail early in the morning from seven tehsils of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to provide Eid dishes and gifts to their loved ones imprisoned in the jail. Special Eid food dishes will also be prepared in the jail on the occasion of Eidul Fitr. Prisoner children will be given gifts, while mothers with infants will be given special Eidi and gifts to infants. Due to Eid holidays, there will be no meetings of inmates with their families in Adiala jail for three days from Tuesday to Thursday.
