The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has arranged interline tickets with Virgin Australia Airlines for eight destinations in Australia as the national flag-carrier begins direct flights to Sydney from April 22. The state airline is all set to begin direct flight operations from Lahore to Sydney and vice versa on Friday and Sunday, respectively. The interline tickets will allow passengers to visit cities in Australia besides Sydney. This agreement makes it possible for PIA passengers to access eight more destinations in Australia. Read: PIA restrains cockpit crew from working while fasting It will allow passengers to book flights to Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Ballina Byron, Hobart, Cairns and Perth on Virgin Australia Airlines flights in addition to Sydney. PIA Chief Executive Officer Air Marshal Arshad Malik expressed satisfaction over the expansion of the state airline’s network and directed the marketing and frontline teams to provide the best services to the passengers. Passengers can now book flights through PIA’s website, official cell, Android app, call centre and travel agents.
