'Imran should move to India': Opposition leaders fire broadside at PM

Soon after the prime minister's address to the nation, Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Friday urged Premier Imran to stop "lying" and show the "threatening letter" to the nation. "A person who is clinging to power is not a self-respecting person but a selfish one," Shehbaz said in a statement. He said that Imran Khan was attacking parliament, Constitution and the judiciary as he is in grief after losing power, adding that the premier has already announced the success of the vote on no-confidence today. Also read: PM won't accept 'imported govt', calls supporters to protest on Sunday "Imran Niazi has been proved a liar over the letter issue. Do not consider the people cattle," he added. The PML-N stalwart said that the Supreme Court declared the ruling of NA Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri only after analysing the facts, urging the premier to contest the no-trust vote constitutionally. He vowed to defeat Imran Khan in the National Assembly tomorrow (Saturday) during the no-confidence vote. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, taking to Twitter, said that PM Imran has been sent home not by anyone else but his own party. "If you like India so much then why don't you move there and leave Pakistan alone." Also read: Constitution reigns supreme Maryam said that a total of 27 no-confidence motions have been tabled against different prime ministers of India and none exploited the country's Constitution like PM Imran. "Vajpayee lost by only one vote but still left the government unlike you who has taken the constitution and entire nation hostage." Party leader Rana Sanaullah, during an interview with a private TV channel, questioned whether the MQM-P left the government and joined the opposition on the instructions of the United States? "When they were with you, they were patriotic but now they have become unpatriotic," he questioned. The former Punjab law minister also said that the majority of the members of the National Assembly are against the current government. Moreover, members of the ruling PTI supported the prime minister via social media. A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. We Pakistanis are blessed to have a leader like Imran Khan. May ALLAH always help him.
