Federal ministers on Wednesday ridiculed Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for a “poor show” at Malakand, saying that amounted to rejection of PPP policies. Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain mocked Bilawal for pretending that he was addressing a large public gathering in Malakand. The minister, in a tweet, said the number of people in the ‘public meeting’ of “Bilawal Sahab” in Malakand was even less than that of a meeting arranged by a provincial assembly candidate. The PPP chairman, he said, was giving the impression that millions of people were listening to him at the Malaknad meeting. The minister said the opposition leaders could not compete with Prime Minister Imran Khan in holding large public gatherings. Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed thanked the people of Malakand for rejecting the PPP. Even that could not be filled, he was quoted as saying in a statement. He said the ruing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would show them a public meeting on March 27. Saeed said that the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad was a slap on the face of Asif Ali Zardari’s son. He said that a huge participation of the delegation of Islamic countries, including China in the Pakistan Day parade speaks volumes about the success of the prime minister’s foreign policy. The minister said that the dignified response to the statement of the European Union ambassadors was the expression of the aspirations of the nation. He said that the tone of Zardari’s son reflects uneasiness of his foreign masters. He said that even before the match, Bilawal’s “legs have started trembling”. Saeed said that during the governments of the father of Bilawal and the Sharifs, 400 drone strikes took place in the country.
