Security forces foiled two militant attacks in Balochistan on Wednesday, inflicting heavy casualties on terrorists, the military said in a statement. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists attempted to attack two separate security forces camps in Panjgur and Nushki late on Wednesday. "Both attacks have been successfully repulsed while inflicting heavy casualties on terrorists," the statement added. However, timely response by the troops foiled the terrorism attempt. "During intense exchange of fire one soldier has been martyred. Terrorists have fled while their casualties are being ascertained." In Nushki, the military's media wing said, terrorists attempted to enter an FC camp which was promptly responded to. On January 27, ten soldiers embraced martyrdom after terrorists attacked a security forces’ check post in Kech district in the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, the ISPR said. The media wing of the military said that intense exchange of fire occurred in the “fire raid” by terrorists on the check post. It added that the forces repulsed the attack, killing one terrorist, injuring several others and apprehending three.
