Chief of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and Planning Minister Asad Umar on Friday announced that 46% of Pakistan’s eligible population is fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and 63% have received at least one jab. The minister took to his official Twitter handle and stated that Islamabad led the federating units with 77% of its population being vaccinated. Amongst the Federating units Islamabad leads with 77 % fully vaccinated. Punjab is at 51 %, GB 46 %, AJK 45 %, balochistan 42 %, KP 41%, and sind at 37 %. The NCOC separately announced that Pakistan had achieved its target of 70 million fully vaccinated individuals. According to the NCOC, which serves as the nerve centre of the government’s unified efforts against Covid, 1,599,380 vaccines were administered in the past 24 hours, bringing the national total up to 156,623,021.
