A smart lockdown has been imposed after the coronavirus test of five people of the same family returned positive in Chishtian Mohalla in Jhelum. The police have closed the street on which the house is located, with barbed wire on both sides on the orders of the deputy commissioner. Health CEO Dr Wasim said that around 14 more covid-19 positive cases were reported on Monday. After which, there are now 26 active patients of the deadly virus in the district. He said that the citizens should follow the coronavirus SOPs to protect their and others’ lives. It is to be noted here that the federal government has already broadened restrictions in view of the surge in coronavirus cases caused by the delta variant originated in neighbouring India.
