Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday inaugurated eight uplift projects worth Rs900 million for Fort Munro. The chief minister inaugurated solar lights network, parks, and horticulture projects with an estimated cost of Rs100 million during his visit to Fort Munro. He also inaugurated the Rs290 million Fort Munro to Langar Khund Sar road project. A plan for upgrading the Fort Munro resort will cost Rs50 million. CM Buzdar also performed the groundbreaking of a project under which Rs90 million would be spent on restoration of the Fort Munro water supply scheme to permanently resolve the water issue at the tourist site. The chief minister laid the foundation stone of a project to promote tourism in the Koh-e-Suleman area. He also performed the groundbreaking of a Rescue 1122 station at Fort Munro on the longstanding demand of local people with a cost of Rs50 million. Officials gave a briefing to the CM on the Fort Munro Cadet College, welfare complex, and other projects. Read Buzdar orders steps to maintain law, order Buzdar, who was accompanied by Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul, planted saplings as part of the Clean and Green campaign. He announced that another cadet college would be built in Koh-e-Suleman and the feasibility study of the project was underway. He said admissions to the children of the Koh-e-Suleman area would be provided free of charge, while the government would also bear their boarding and other expenses. The chief minister said work was underway to establish a solid waste management company to resolve the cleanliness issue in the Fort Munro area on a permanent basis.
