The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Monday extended the temporary travel ban till September 30 and issued a new guideline in view of the spread of coronavirus pandemic. Passengers coming from category A and B countries will have to undergo Covid-19 test 72 hours before their arrival in Pakistan while travel restrictions for passengers from Category C remain intact. According to a notification issued by the air transport director, 15 countries including Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Nepal and South Africa have been kept in Category C in view of the threat of coronavirus. The notification noted that the passengers arriving in Pakistan from category A and B countries will have to undergo a coronavirus test 72 hours prior to their arrival. They will also have to quarantine themselves upon reaching Pakistan.
