The Kallar Syedan police on Thursday arrested two suspects on charges of raping and blackmailing a 14-year-old boy in the Nandana Jatal area of Rawalpindi. According to a spokesperson, the mother of the victim had lodged a complaint with the Kallar Syedan police that one, Usman, a resident of the neighbourhood, raped her son and made videos of the sexual assault. She said that the alleged rapist constantly blackmailed her son and demanded money before her son divulged the whole story. She added that the suspect, along with his friend Zohaib, also demanded from her son to share pictures of girls from his family with them. After registering a case, the police arrested both the nominated suspects. Later, the police presented both the suspects in court to seek their physical remand. The local court granted a five-day physical remand of the suspects after the police pleaded with the court that investigation was under way to recover the explicit video and other related stuff from the accused. Kallar Syedan Police Station House Officer Qaisar Satti said that the video clip, photos and other related material used by the accused to blackmail the victim will be made part of the case.
